BUPAT ev sahipliğinde düzenlenen 2025 Tech Day, savunma ve havacılık sektöründen yaklaşık 80 mühendisi 7 Mayıs’ta Ankara’da bir araya getirdi. Etkinlik, Curtiss-Wright’ın son teknoloji çözümleriyle ilham veren bir bilgi paylaşımı ve deneyim gününe dönüştü.

Günün açılış konuşmaları, BUPAT’ın kurucusu      Serdar Erkoca ile Genel Müdür Eriş Erkoca ve İş Geliştirme Müdürü Arif Erkoca’nın videolu mesajlarıyla gerçekleşti. Ardından, Curtiss-Wright uzmanları teknik sunumlarla sahne aldı.

Yüksek Teknoloji Canlı Deneyimle Buluştu

Etkinliğin ilk teknik sunumu, Curtiss-Wright Uygulama Mühendisi Pat Quinn tarafından gerçekleştirildi. Quinn, Axon sistemlerindeki son yenilikleri aktardığı sunumunda, özellikle iki ürüne odaklandı:

AXN/VID/401 video modülü: HD-SDI desteği, çoklu kamera girişi, 4 kanallı H.264 video kodlama ve gerçek zamanlı düşük gecikmeli yayın gibi gelişmiş özellikleriyle dikkat çekti. Telemetri sistemlerine kolayca entegre edilebilen ve uçuş sertifikalarına sahip bu modül, canlı demo ile katılımcılara sunuldu.

Axon PICO ADC: Curtiss-Wright’ın yeni nesil analog veri toplama çözümü olan bu kompakt cihaz da sunumun önemli başlıklarından biriydi. Power over Ethernet (PoE) desteği sayesinde hem güç hem de veri iletimi tek kablo üzerinden yapılabiliyor. PICO’nun minyatür boyutu ve zincirleme bağlantı yapısı, uçak gövdesi gibi erişimi zor bölgelerde çok sayıda sensörle çalışmayı kolaylaştırıyor. Kurulum süresini azaltması ve sistem ağırlığını önemli ölçüde düşürmesi, onu uçuş test mühendisliği açısından ideal hale getiriyor.

Curtiss-Wright’tan Rocco Docimo’nun gerçekleştirdiği bu gösterimde, IMU, GNSS, GPS ve manyetometre entegreli taktik zaman-mekân verisi sunan nTTU-2600 cihazı tanıtıldı. Ethernet üzerinden kurulan basit sistem, IADS yazılımı ile gerçek zamanlı görselleştirme sağladı.

 Curtiss-Wright temsilcisi Steve Leaper, firmanın aviyonik ürün gamına dair detaylı bir teknik sunum gerçekleştirdi.

Bupat’ın ev sahipliğinde düzenlenen öğle yemeğinde katılımcılar bir araya gelerek deneyimlerini paylaştı ve yeni bağlantılar kurma imkanı buldu.

Axon PICO Lansmanı – Kapanış Demosu

Etkinliğin finalinde ise minyatür boyutlu, PoE destekli ADC çözümü Axon PICO tanıtıldı. Zincirleme bağlantı özelliği ile uçak gövdesi içinde esnek sensör yerleşimi sağlayan cihaz, gerçek zamanlı verilerle başarıyla sunuldu.

Etkinliğin özel konuklarından Fatih Hacıömeroğlu (TUSAŞ), sahnede yaptığı sunumda BUPAT ve Curtiss-Wright ile uzun süredir devam eden iş birliğini ve ürünlerin kullanım kolaylığını anlattı. Networking araları, kahve molaları ve birebir teknik diyaloglarla bilgi paylaşımı derinleşti.

Etkinlik sonunda, sunumlarıyla katkı sağlayan Fatih Hacıömeroğlu, Steve Leaper, Pat Quinn, Rocco Docimo ve Curtiss-Wright Türkiye Satış Müdürü David Madec’e plaketleri takdim edildi.

Hosted by BUPAT, 2025 Tech Day brought together approximately 80 engineers from the defense and aerospace sectors in Ankara on May 7. The event turned into an inspiring day of knowledge sharing and experience with Curtiss-Wright’s state-of-the-art solutions.

The opening speeches of the day were delivered with video messages by Serdar Erkoca, founder of BUPAT, Eriş Erkoca, General Manager, and Arif Erkoca, Business Development Manager. Then, Curtiss-Wright experts took the stage with technical presentations.

High Technology Met with Live Experience

The first technical presentation of the event was made by Curtiss-Wright Application Engineer Pat Quinn. Focusing particularly on two products, Quinn shared the latest innovations in Axon systems:

AXN/VID/401 video module: It attracted attention with its advanced features such as HD-SDI support, multi-camera input, 4-channel H.264 video encoding, and real-time low-latency broadcasting. This module, which can be easily integrated into telemetry systems and has flight certifications, was presented to the participants with a live demo.

Axon PICO ADC: This compact device, which is Curtiss-Wright’s next-generation analog data acquisition solution, was also one of the important topics of the presentation. Thanks to Power over Ethernet (PoE) support, both power and data transmission can be done over a single cable. The miniature size and daisy-chain topology of PICO make it easy to work with a large number of sensors in hard-to-reach areas such as the fuselage. Reducing installation time and significantly lowering system weight makes it ideal for flight test engineering.

In this demonstration performed by Rocco Docimo from Curtiss-Wright, the nTTU-2600 device, which offers tactical time-space data integrated with IMU, GNSS, GPS, and magnetometer, was introduced. The simple system established over Ethernet provided real-time visualization with IADS software.

Curtiss-Wright representative Steve Leaper gave a detailed technical presentation on the company’s avionics product range.

Participants came together at the lunch hosted by Bupat to share their experiences and had the opportunity to establish new connections.

Axon PICO Launch – Closing Demo

At the finale of the event, the miniature-sized, PoE-supported ADC solution Axon PICO was introduced. The device, which provides flexible sensor placement inside the aircraft fuselage with its daisy-chain connection feature, was successfully presented with real-time data.

Fatih Hacıömeroğlu (TUSAŞ), one of the special guests of the event, made a presentation on stage about the long-term cooperation with BUPAT and Curtiss-Wright and the ease of use of the products. Knowledge sharing deepened through networking breaks, coffee breaks, and one-on-one technical dialogues.

At the end of the event, plaques were presented to Fatih Hacıömeroğlu, Steve Leaper, Pat Quinn, Rocco Docimo, and Curtiss-Wright Turkey Sales Manager David Madec, who contributed with their presentations.
